A fantastic skincare product, a start for your zero plastic skincare routine
I purchased this facial bar over a month ago for several reasons.1: I wanted to reduce my plastic usage. I hadn’t realised how many plastic bottles I was going through in the bathroom and I wanted a sustainable, non plastic product which I could easily use, and to suit my budget.2: I wanted to purchase a face wash which was online, so a repeat purchase was easy. I’ve been neglecting my facial care for a while- moving from skin care brand regularly in order to get a better deal, not necessarily suiting my needs. 3: I wanted a facial product which wouldn’t react to my sensitive skin. I have a mixture of combination and sensitive skin- it dries easily and spots appear mainly on my forehead.I saw this product and I thought for £4, it would be a good starting point in my zero plastic, skincare journey. On initial arrival, I was really pleased to see this little bar arrive in a cardboard box. This reassure me that this was a sustainable product, and that wastage would be minimal. The aroma can only be described as “an old bar of soap” smell- very distinctive and not very attractive. On first use, I wet my face and the bar and I made a lather. It didn’t take long and I applied it to my face and started to use the generic, circular motion to cleanse. It wasn’t abrasive, it felt very gentle and it was easy to control it.After rinsing and drying, my face felt clean: It wasn’t greasy and it was noticeably more even, but it was slightly drying with my skin type. In addition, the noticeable smell from opening stuck to my skin, but overall, not too bad for a first cleanse.I have used this product for over a month now and I can definitely see a noticeable different with my pores on my chin and cheeks: they have reduced in size! Less spots have been appearing, my skin is more balanced and it has benefited from the natural ingredients. The bar didn’t go mushy, much like a bar of soap would, and it dried very well (even when it was covered in water, it was always dry by the next morning). In addition, I have been using this twice every day and it has barely reduced in size- I don’t know how long this would last but it is definitely longer than a typical 500ml face wash bottle. Also, the overpowering smell fades away with more use and it actually have a very pleased aroma now!The only downside which I can really admit is that it really stung when it got in my eyes! This was only a problem when I tried to remove my mascara, but I no longer attempt it.Overall I am really impressed with this product as I can see a fantastic difference with my face. This will be a brilliant base to my skin care routine, and I have already started to add some more products in (serum, toner, moisturizer) to get healthier and even skin. Advice when using: invest in a portable soap dish. It allowed me to pack the soap bar away, take it in my toiletries bag, and avoided the chance that someone else might use it. These can be found in Poundland, or online. 🙂

Perfect for tropical weather
If you’re someone who needs to moisturise your face heavily living in a hard water and dry climate like London, you’ll like this.Discovered this by accident looking for small travelling soaps to carry to the Caribbean and noticed that this thing left my skin so moisturised in that heat, I didn’t need to cream after! A little vit c & hyaluronic acid & spf lotion and you’re good to go. So, bought more to try back home and yes, skin doesnt feel as dry when using other soaps but the climate here means heavier creams are still needed. This has become my staple and saved me from a greasy face in hot climates.

Great buy
Oh man was I worried when I opened my delivery, the entire box smelled of this soap. Wow it was overpowering, and it wasn’t pleasant. I seriously considered sending it back, but I figured the carbon footprint of having it delivered and sending it back defeated the object of trying to be eco friendly, so I stuck with it…hey worst comes to worst I could use it for shaving my legs. There was no need to worry. On using the soap there’s hardly a scent at all. It’s lovely to use, lathers up well, doesn’t smell, and leaves skin feeling nice and clean.

Love these Soap Bars
Love this facial wash bar, really good on the skin… doesn’t leave it dry or irritate it at all, really gentle, smells great too,The shampoo bar is great, leaves hair super squeaky clean, really smells lovely too … just needs a conditioner bar too as I have to still use conditioner as my hair is quite long, and ends up too tangled if I don’t… if it was short I would get away without definitely as really does leave it lovely and clean.Love the scrub bar too … only one to let me down so far is the shaving bar … which I could not get to lather up at all …but will definitely keep buying the others.

Refreshing and kind to skin!
Lockdown’s really inspired me to develop a new face care routine; and after some careful consideration, I decided that instead of buying expensive face wash or cleansers, I’d rely on simplicity instead. I’ve been using this soap to wash my face every morning and night before applying some face oil and cream and it is the BEST thing ever. The soap doesn’t have a strong smell (which to me means it’s not packed with artificial perfumes), but foams up nicely and soothes any red spots or pimples on my face. It doesn’t really dry my skin as much as I feared it might though I would recommend to use some moisturising cream after washing your face with it. Would definitely recommend 🙂

Drying
Effective cleansing facial soap which over time has had a noticeably drying effect on the skin, for multiple family members, so much so that it almost stings with irritation. Have reluctantly had to change to a different brand.

Cleanses really well and doesn’t irritate my rosacea-prone skin. Smells amazing and lasts for ages.

Facial soap
I love this facial soap and prefer it to the Nivea one I have used in the past. It lathers up just enough and feels creamy to apply and leaves the face feeling soft and moisturised.
